Job Description

This individual is responsible for managing the statutory financial reporting, general accounting accounts receivable and treasury functions of all OSTA legal entities (Gyrus ACMI Inc Gyrus ACMI LP) Olympus Veran Inc.). This position oversees key accounting activities including management of the general ledger and the fixed asset and accounts receivable sub-ledgers financial reporting (including preparation and review of consolidations and statutory reporting packages) internal and external audit preparation including compliance with JSOX control requirements management of accounts receivable billing and collection activities oversight of banking facilities and cash management/forecasting. The position requires strong management skills along with an extensive knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to ensure that company reporting is in compliance with IFRS.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely accounting and reporting of all statutory financial information incompliance with IFRS and other Olympus Tokyo requirements.

  • Management of the general accounting function activities including management of balance sheet and P&L accounts and their related propriety intercompany accounting and oversight of the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and reporting packages.

  • Management of various special projects including development of new processes and controls and technical accounting design for compliance with accounting standards.

  • Serves as the Finance Oracle SuperUser. Works with cross- functional teams to implement additional system functionality and the related business processes.

  • Provides support to other Finance groups as it relates to Oracle functionality and design.

  • Management and further development of the Hyperion Financial Management system.

  • Management of interactions with internal and external auditors during their review and audit of internal controls and Quarterly and Annual financial results.

  • Compliance with all JSOX control requirements relating to general ledger accounting and financial reporting including documentation of such compliance.

  • Compliance with Sunshine Act requirements relating to reporting of financial transactions.

  • Management of the accounts receivable function related to Intercompany International and Partnered Technology customers. Includes oversight of customer billing management of intercompany transfer pricing issues timely collection of cash and resolution of customer issues.

  • Management of certain aspects of treasury function including oversight of the daily banking reports/accounting and cash reporting/forecasting.

  • Provide accounting support to the Financial Planning & Analysis group during the preparation of budgets and plans while also interfacing with other functional groups regarding measurement of performance against plans.

  • Provision of general accounting support to all Finance departments and other business units. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

  • Plans directs and manages the activities of Accounting Staff in specific areas of the business.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance MBA preferred CPA required.

  • Minimum of 8 years of public/private accounting experience. Experience with Oracle ERP and Hyperion Financial Management systems preferred.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Oracle ERP and Hyperion Financial Management systems preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $116,751.00 - $163,452.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
