SGI Global, LLC Program Manager- FEMA Office of Emerging Threats (OET) in Washington, District Of Columbia

SGI Global is seeking a Program Manager in support of the FEMA/Office of Emerging Threats (OET). The mission of OET is to identify, assess, and inform FEMA and its mission partners of emerging threats that may significantly challenge the Nation's core capabilities for incident response and recovery.

  • Goal 1: Develop a collaborative focal point within FEMA to work with multiple entities internal and external to the agency to identify and assess emerging threats and corresponding risks to inform and enable FEMA and its mission partners to respond and recover from such threats.

  • Goal 2: Using a collaborative partnership approach, translate analysis of threats and related risks into actionable guidance and inform the development of specialized plans, resources, and capabilities to address gaps related to specific emerging threats in coordination with relevant intra and interagency and mission partners.

  • Goal 3: Enhance FEMA's capabilities to respond to and recover from emerging threats once such threats are actualized effectively and efficiently.

  • Goal 4: Strengthen partnerships and information sharing between FEMA and mission partners, the private sector, academia, and the R&D community to further enhance awareness and understanding of emerging threats and drive corresponding risk management approaches.

    Position contingent upon award

    Responsibilities

  • The Program Manager will ensure that supervision of Contractor employees is provided by the Contractor.

  • Serves as a single point of contact for the Contracting Officer and the COR

  • Shall ensure Contractor employees understand and abide by FEMA established rules, regulations and policies concerning safety and security.

  • Provide a monthly progress report to the Contracting Officer and COR

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum/General Experience: The Project Manager must have ten (10) years' experience in emergency management with five (5) of those years in a supervisory position, managing a minimum of five (5) personnel and increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Minimum Education: A bachelors degree may be used to substitute for four (4) years of emergency management experience, but not supervisory experience. A Masters degree may be substituted for an additional two (2) years of emergency management experience, but not supervisory experience.
