Google Product Analyst, Google Pay in Singapore

Google will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require Google's sponsorship of a visa.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company

  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple projects

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience with databases, SQL coding across standard commercial databases (e.g., Teradata, MySQL), and statistics tools (e.g., R, Python)

  • Knowledge of statistical/ML techniques like Decision trees, Logistic regression, Random Forest, etc.

  • Ability to turn research insights into actionable recommendations for product roadmap and strategy

  • Excellent partnership and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Excellent project management skills working across large workstreams

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

As a Product Analyst you will lead the coordination across functions to create analytics frameworks to dissect abstract business (e.g., partnership and business generation), product (funnels and landing pages), growth (adoption and incentive) and retention problems across the Recurring Payment space. You will be a trusted thought partner to technical partners, using data-driven insights to influence product strategy.

Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

  • Develop a deep understanding of core products and technologies for Google Pay in India. Partner closely with Payments leadership to setup analytics support for GPay India, determine OKRs, and deliver analytics at scale focused on driving growth in multiple markets.

  • Drive visibility into performance for multiple markets by leading reviews, planning, and forecasting.

  • Develop framework and product insights to drive actionable recommendations to influence product roadmap.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in multiple markets and globally, as a lead on critical projects by frameworking solutions and working with complex data sets to solve non-routine analysis problems to deliver data driven insights to shape product strategy.

  • Drive the end-to-end analytics stack on business problems, from metric definitions, to working with engineering teams to build data schemas and elements to adhoc insights, experimentation, and optimization.
