Job Summary

The Recruiter is the first point of contact with potential candidates and future CooperVision employees and is expected to provide a quality experience for each and every candidate while modeling CooperCompany values. The Recruiter will be accountable for developing and executing a recruiting strategy for assigned requisitions, including but not limited to executing agreed upon service level agreements for each requisition to best support the talent needs of the organization. Responsible for executing the full life cycle recruitment process from planning through offer preparation and delivery.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for recruitment related tasks, goals, deadlines (i.e. recruiting Service Level Agreements), and communication with TA, HR and hiring managers
  • Understand fiscal components and implications of the recruitment process and strategy- i.e. when it is necessary to use an outside agency to support recruiting, total compensation, etc.
  • Drive recruitment strategies across multiple business units and geographic locations and maintain awareness of market conditions.
  • Design and develop proactive sourcing strategies to attract a diverse, qualified pool of candidates
  • Ensure managers and interviewers for all open positions follow recruitment processes, ensuring legal compliance and following applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain proactive candidate pipelines.Act as a talent acquisition expert to the business leaders to help develop recruitment strategies to meet overall business objectives.
  • Make strategic recommendations based on a synthesis of market conditions, business needs, and candidate requirements.
  • As a representative of the Talent Acquisition team, act as the primary interface to hiring managers, Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs), and agency partners.
  • Facilitate end to end requisition process including approvals, intake discussion, candidate management, interview/offer management and negotiation as necessary.
  • Monitor sourcing effectiveness and make recommendations for optimization.
  • Interview candidates based on position requirements and global competency framework using behavioral interviewing techniques.
  • Maintain ownership of the candidate experience including but not limited to consistent communication with candidates throughout their candidacy. Deliver updates including but not limited to rejection notification.
  • Make recommendations to the HRBP and hiring manager based on candidate interviews and evaluation, ensuring a biased free process.
  • Provide recommendations regarding candidate total offer components based on awareness of candidate requirements throughout their candidacy.
  • Exercise judgment within defined practices and policies and act in a spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Assist in directing recruiting support activities as needed. (offers, background checks, travel, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and creatively solve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust with internal client groups, HRBPs, Talent Acquisition team members and candidates.

  • Thorough understanding of federal and state regulations affecting recruitment and selection.

  • Preferred certification in Behavioral Interviewing or Targeted Selection
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems
  • Experience developing external candidate pipeline through direct sourcing and networking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in interview techniques and tactics.
  • Skilled at presenting and communicating to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Intermediate level MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Preferred experience working with DE& I strategies and sourcing tactics

Work Environment:

  • Normal Office environment
  • Hybrid work schedule- in office & home office

Experience:

  • 5 years progressive recruitment experience; preferably in manufacturing and operations.
  • Combination of agency and corporate recruitment preferred.
  • Experience in supporting the development and execution of an employer value proposition
  • Experience developing proactive candidate pipelines.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary recruitment environment.
  • Experience recruiting for professionals in remote locations
  • Demonstrated success working with all levels of management including C-level executives.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $57, 661 and $76, 881 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
