CAT Rental Store Delivery Driver

Pay: $51.34/hour

  Key qualifications :

• Must have a CDL Class A

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience driving a tractor trailer

• Must be able to meet the background check and drug / alcohol requirements for CDL drivers as outlined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)

• Knowledge of construction equipment

• Basic understanding of and ability to do basic machine repairs

• Skilled in operating construction equipment including loading, unloading

  Responsibilities:

  Delivery and pick up of Cat Rental Store machines

• Safely transport company owned equipment to and from customer job sites

• Load and unload equipment, following all safety requirements, and ensure loads are properly secured

• Follow all DOT rules and regulations and administer daily inspection of vehicle

• Maintain driver’s log as required by DOT regulations

  Completion and turn in of hauling related paperwork

• Provide customer with a copy of the shipping/receiving paperwork and obtain signatures to confirm delivery of rental equipment

• Turn in all delivery and pickup paperwork to rental coordinator to ensure proper record keeping

• Report all accidents and incidents involving company vehicles or equipment in accordance with H. O. Penn policies and procedures

  Optimal customer experience with the H. O. Penn Cat Rental Store

• Provide best in class customer service to Cat Rental Store customers through clear communication and actions

• Work closely with other members of The Cat Rental Store team to maximize customer service

• Represent the Cat Rental Store in a positive manner

• Assist with maintenance and appearance of company vehicle

• Be a model for safety on company yards and customer job sites

• Assist in yard when not on the road

  Qualifications:

• Must have a CDL Class A

  Physical Requirements:

• Standing and walking

• Lifting (up to 60lbs.)

• Carrying (up to 50lbs.)

• Push/pull (up to 80lbs.)

• Sitting, rotation and forward bending (sitting and standing)

• Hand coordination and reaching

• Grip (30lbs. with both hands, 80lbs. with preferred/single hand)

• Foot pedal operation

• Climbing stairs and ladders

• Crawling, low work (kneeling), and awkward positioning

• Outdoor work (as required)

• Wearing 10-20lbs. of protective clothing, including fire resistant clothing, welding helmet/shield, & ANSI-rated protective footwear (as required)
