Amentum Area Operations Supervisor in Tegucigalpa, Honduras

POSITION SUMMARY

The Area Operations Supervisor (AOS) will report to Program leadership and will be responsible for the performance of the work of full contract matters relating to the daily base operations within this contract.

The AOS is responsible for daily work assignments, work completion, day-to-day employee relations, tracking special tools and equipment, tracking work vehicles, solving specialty technical problems related to the trade discipline and other similar supervision duties. The AOS reports to leadership in regard to all aspects of shop responsibility.

The AOS may also perform the following duties: compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques. The AOS prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies, and charts production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and leadership personnel. The AOS also sorts and distributes work tickets or material and may compute wages from employee timecards and post wage data on records used for

Payroll. The AOS is responsible for the accurate, timely, and complete updates in the various Army Information Systems required for this position's area of work.

The AOS will perform any other duties as assigned by the Program leadership team.

The AOS will be available within 2 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel to discuss problem areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of three years (3) previous experience at a US Air Force Military Installation with similar mission/project in scope and nature

  • Bilingual English/Spanish highly desired

  • Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Valid US or local driver's license and US passport

  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment as required

  • Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide)

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facilities credentials / authorization. Note: US citizenship is required for facilities credentials / authorization at this location.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience, vocational certification or Associates degree is preferred

  • Must have a journeyman in a trade, master will be given preference

This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
