Boeing Brazil is seeking Senior Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineer , reporting to the Electrical Power Systems team Manager of Boeing Brazil, working out of the São Jose Dos Campos, Brazil office. The Senior Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineer will work with the global Electrical Power Systems engineering team to support the development and certification of transport category airplanes. Review documentation and generate artifacts to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements, related to power generation, distribution functions, lighting, optics, and proximity sensing.

Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

• Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.

• Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

• Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

• Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

• Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Makes recommendations for technology investments.

• This position will require occasional national and/or international travel.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Experience with Electrical Engineering

• Fluent in both written and verbal English

• Must be legally able to work in Brazil

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer engineering, Mechanical engineering or Aerospace/Aeronautical engineering, with registration at Regional Council of Engineering in Brazil (CREA).

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

• Experience with Product Development life cycle and applicable regulations.

• Experience with Safety Assessment standards.

• Experience with supplier environmental qualification standards (DO-160).

• Knowledge in Agile methodology.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
