JOB TITLE – Financial Analyst

HWS is headquartered in Sunrise, FL and has 1,100 employees (with over 300 in Sunrise). HWS is essentially a staffing and recruiting company. We are the largest provider of healthcare managed staffing program solutions. HWS manages contract labor (supplies clinicians/nurses) to hospital systems. HWS provides both travel and per diem nurses. We employ our own nurses and also utilize over 400 vendors (other Healthcare staffing companies) to supply clinicians to our clients.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES – Work directly, support, and consult with business by providing timely and accurate financial analytics, reporting metrics and recommendations. Perform technical and administrative work, accurately maintaining and administering the company’s commission programs (commission calculation, data management, dispute resolutions, communications) while demonstrating knowledge of incentive management, financial, accounting, and additional support systems. Business savvy and the ability to translate financial concepts and information to members of the management team are keys to success. This role requires the ability to think and work independently but necessitates working within a team construct.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Support monthly commission process to ensure critical deadlines are met

  • Perform detailed analysis of compensation data and payments to ensure accuracy and compliance with compensation plans

  • Research and resolve all compensation issues in a timely and accurate manner

  • Demonstrate understanding of compensation plans and policies

  • Assist in analysis and creation of incentive and compensation plans· Participate in the preparation of financial and operations review including weekly and monthly reports· Support the forecast and budget process, as needed· Design and develop models to predict financial impact of various strategic decisions· Assists to deliver financial trending and other analyses· Maintains confidentiality and appropriate access of all employee information· Adheres to Code of Conduct and Mission & Value Statement· Participates in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES – This position requires the following minimal requirements:· Strong analytical and communication skills· Excellent customer service skills· Ability to multi-task and prioritize· Ability to make sound independent decisions and assesses situations from a variety of perspectives, consider alternatives and facilitate the most appropriate course of action.· Ability to work well within a team environment, collaborate with other departments and work independently· Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel, Outlook, general office products· Ability to learn new software programs· Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies and procedures · Ability to work under aggressive time constraints EDUCATION: · BA/BS in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or closely related field EXPERIENCE: · 2+ years of Finance, Sales Compensation, Accounting or related experience CERTIFICATION/LICENSE – None PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: · Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 20 pounds occasionally.· Requires prolonged sitting and some bending, stooping, and stretching. · Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.· Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.· Work is performed in an office environment and involves frequent contact with staff and the public.· Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.
