UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies Agile Configuration Management Specialist, Journeyman in Stafford, Virginia

Overview

Bowhead seeks a Mid-Level Agile Configuration Management (CM) Specialist to support the Program Office for Logistics Integrated Information Systems – Marine Corps (LI2S-MC) in Stafford, VA. The Mid-Level Agile CM Specialist will work directly with the client analyzing complex and unique technical support assignments and lead or collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, logisticians, and program analysts within a scaled agile environment.

The Mid-Level Agile CM Specialist will support the development of projects in an agile environment, working as a representative of the product owner, handling all the documentation, maintenance and define the requirements of a development process.

Responsibilities

• Support the Product Owner by representing the needs of both the business stakeholders and the users within the agile environment

• Define Agile Stories and prioritize the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features for the team

• Incorporate Agile principles into product support

• Ensure customer service support evolves based on the feedback and changing requirements of the customer

• Enable education and encourage knowledge-sharing among team members.

• Reduce/eliminate structure separation between support tiers

• Share customer ideas and feedback with the team and recommend its influence on the product roadmap

• Support every channel of communication to ensure optimal customer engagement.

• Support requirements engineering, build project roadmaps, and ensure teams are keeping priorities aligned

• Support agile workshops for developer and functional teams, as well as for key stakeholders

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university; MA/MS degree preferred

• At least 4 to 10 years of experience including at least six (6) years of specialized experience on high visible or mission critical projects within DoD. Experience with Navy or Marine Corps programs preferred

• Proven ability to work on high visible or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently

• Ability to manage the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific task

• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government personnel, and other stakeholders

• Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to lead a team or perform independently

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate must favorably pass a Public Trust background investigation. Candidates with an In-Scope DoD security clearance are highly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is required.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
