Regions Hospital Occupational Therapist Flex in St. Paul, Minnesota

Regions Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work in a part time, benefit eligible position. This position will provide occupational therapy services to adult patients primarily at our Regions Hospital Rehabilitation Center--our 21-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. Our Rehabilitation Center maintains CARF specialty accreditation in stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury care--meaning that we hold ourselves to high standards of care and provide ongoing training and personal development of clinical skills in these areas and in our rehab technology to support patient recovery. We are also a Spinal Cord Injury Model Systems site, connecting our staff and patients to research opportunities and professional development in the area of spinal cord injury. Ideal candidate would have at least 3 years work experience and experience in one or more of these diagnoses: stroke, brain injury, spinal cord, amputation, or complex medical/complex orthopedic injuries. We work collaboratively as a interdisciplinary team so we are seeking an OT with strong problem solving and communication skills. This is a part time position but with a department need to work M-F. The position covers a weekend rotation every 7th weekend and has a holiday rotation. We provide a thorough on-boarding process to all new hires and mentorship from experienced staff is available. Work Schedule: Have a need to flex up to M-F 7-3:30, every 7th weekend and rotating holiday coverage Required Qualifications: Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy Licensed in MN as an Occupational Therapist Registration with the Minnesota State Department of Health as an Occupational Therapist Current certification with the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy within 6 months Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Benefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
