MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIANS

Full-Time, Monday-Friday

We are currently looking for Mental Health Technicians (MHT) for our Youth Challenges Program, located in Springfield, OH. Youth Challenges is a day treatment program working with children ages 5-17,  providing a safe environment to provide care and therapy services.  Normal hours of work for Youth Programs is 7:30AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday. 

As an MHT with Mental Health Services, you will participate in establishing and maintaining a therapeutic milieu and treatment processes for youth clients in a classroom style setting. MHT's are responsible for participating in groups with kids, ensuring their safety, and helping to engage them with short and long term goals.  

Candidates must have:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of behavioral/mental health  -or-
• Associates or Bachelors degree in a mental health or social services field preferred
• Experience in mental or behavioral health preferred
• CPR/First Aid (Will be provided upon hire)

• NVCI/CPI (Will be provided upon hire)

   

   

*MHS provides CPR/First Aid and NVCI (CPI Blue) for all new staff, along with on-going education and on-the-job training opportunities. *

*All MHS candidates are required to have an Ohio BCI check (FBI check required  if you have lived in Ohio for less than 5 years, or for working with children), 5-panel drug screen and 2 step TB (or proof of prior TB) upon conditional offer of employment. *
