Description

Nick Corieri has offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst in the Financial Services industry, located on the west side of Syracuse. The role involves processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer credit applications while maintaining accuracy

• Ensure accurate maintenance of customer credit records

• Develop, interpret, and manage Accounting for Credit Losses calculation and related documentation

• Perform calculations for the Bank’s Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL)

• Review and document third-party reports on ACL, and collaborate with management to provide insightful recommendations

• Summarize reports on Credit Loss, Delinquency, Risk Ratings, and more

• Collaborate with Credit Administration to ensure precise reporting on asset quality

• Participate in various finance and accounting projects as needed

• Leverage accounting software systems and ERP solutions for financial tasks, budgeting, and expense reporting

• Apply expertise in finance, credit loss management, and risk models to daily responsibilities

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial analyst role within the financial services industry

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on data

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
