Microsoft Corporation Azure Digital Solution Sales Manager in Seoul, South Korea

This role is for Azure solution sales manager who are in charge of overall Azure business. This role manages direct reports of Azure Solution Specialists who are in charge of Azure Cloud revenue. Azure solution areas are divided into App/Infra, Data/AI and Security based on people's competency. This role covers medium sized customers in Korea between Enterprise level accounts and SMB level accounts. This role should understand diverse industry domain, technological background on Cloud/Data/AI/Security, collaborating skillset to thrive together, knowledge on business growth at scale and communication skill based on English fluency to lead multiple operating ROB across Asia level community. As a key stakeholder on Azure Cloud business, this role should take strong accountability with resilience to pursue short-term and long-term business growth.

  • Consistent accountability on business growth by leading Azure solution sales team by aligning with global standardized Azure solution plays across all Cloud workloads including App/Infra, Data/AI and Security in diverse industry.

  • Attaining Finance KPI by orchestrating related stakeholders from partners, marketing and operation as well as managing direct sales team by delivering business value with customer centric mindset.

  • Amplifying strong vision and ambition to guide the team to pursue collective goals by inspiring and motivating people to move forward.

  • Creation of scale business impact by leveraging digital marketing, partner engagement, customer centric programs in diverse industries.

Sales Execution

  • Brings impactful industry insights with partners into customer engagements. Acts as a thought leader in digital transformation across Cloud solution areas to advise customers and represent Microsoft, and coaches sellers internally on how to do this. Leads transformational shifts to drive deployment and create business value for customers.

  • Leads a virtual cross-organizational team on strategic projects and high impact solution sales deployments that enable digital transformation and deliver business value. May lead partner integration into account/territory planning and customer engagements. Leads organization to drive new Digital Transformation projects (e.g., cloud Infra, Data/AI service) through business outcome selling and expanding customer business decision maker (BDM) connections.

  • Guides sellers on communicating with customers, leveraging their business language, to understand their business needs and connect the need to Microsoft technology. In partnership with internal teams, reviews account strategies and plans in order to facilitate customer interactions to assess customer needs. Accelerates customer value realization through cloud services consumption across solution areas. Provides direction/guidance on the development of solutions across solution areas, including support.

Scaling and Collaboration

  • Guides their team to build a network of partners to cross-sell and up-sell and drive usage. Leads the team to identify new partners and evaluate partner capabilities. Facilitates the development of partner strategies and ensures execution.

  • Coaches their team to learn about and apply the orchestration model. facilitates and leads internal communication and collaboration by identifying resources and removing barriers. Contributes to the development of the orchestration model.

  • Skillset for scale business leveraging digital marketing, partner engagement model to create revenue impact. Especially capability and experience end to end business cycles from building up leads generation to deal closing at scalable ways.

Technical Expertise

  • Technical knowledge on Cloud, Infrastructure, Network, Security and Data platforms. Especially deep understanding on Cloud and AI technology enough to communicate with customer C-level based on domain specific understanding.

  • Guides their team with the right direction and decision when the team faces technical blockers. Agile communication with technical team to help sales team to resolve obstacles.

  • Acts as the spokesman for Microsoft at external events. Provides expertise to customers/partners and shares knowledge on social media relevant for their market (e.g., LinkedIn). Establishes a sounding board of customers and partners related to technology innovation.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.

  • 6+ years of solution or services sales experience.

  • 3+ year(s) of people management experience.

  • 2+ years experience in the role of global communications with fluent English skill.

  • Technical knowledge on Cloud, Data and AI

  • Communication skill with C-level of customers. Capability on technical or business speech in public events

  • Strong accountability on Finance KPI
