Amazon Software Development Engineer, Prime Video Ads in Seattle, Washington

Description

Are you interested in shaping the future of movies and television for Prime Video customers? Do you want to define the next generation of how and what Amazon customers are watching? Prime Video is one of the leading digital video services on the internet today, and we're just getting started.

The PV Ads Observability team owns the ad journey tracker and helps diagnose and gather insights on ad fulfillments. We launched our product, along with Prime Video's Ads offering in January 2024 and are working on enabling observability for new ad formats, expanding the diagnostic capabilities of the product. We are a small and nimble team with an ambitious charter for 2024 and beyond.

As an engineer in a relatively new business, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging problems in high-volume/high-throughput micro-batch and near real-time systems. We leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies, including AWS CDK, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, Spark, and EMR. Any experience working with data or observability systems is a plus.

You will need to have strong problem-solving and technical abilities, great communication skills, a motivation to learn, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment with excellent analytical reasoning skills.

Key job responsibilities

  • Build high-throughput, low-latency data systems.

  • Develop web services and other large-scale distributed systems

  • Deliver observability/insights product to PV Ads customers
