Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, Fire TV Ads Finance in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon seeks an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role on the Amazon Devices Finance Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurially minded candidate to influence the strategy for engagement and monetization on Fire TV.

The successful candidate will support the Video Ads teams through data driven financial analysis and insights that help drive growth and profitability. This role requires a self-starter with solid business modeling skills, an ability to influence stakeholders across geographies and business units, and strong business judgement. This job involves regular collaboration with business units across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Key job responsibilities

  • This role leads the bottoms up Ads planning and reporting process across the FAME Ads team and coordinates inputs from a broad group of Ads Finance stakeholders (FP&A, PV, 3P STV, Freevee, Twitch, central Video Ads), acting as the primary POC for FTV finance across multiple WBRs, and driving discussion between the central Ads and Devices teams to ensure FTV representation in decision-making

  • Building financial models and advanced analytical tools to forecast Ads performance and evaluate new on-device monetization opportunities

  • Build out business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction

  • Driving creation, implementation, and reporting of financial, and operating performance metrics to aid in key decision making

  • Owning finance communication with the business teams on content performance, financial impact, and risks & opportunities

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
