This position will require the successful candidate to complete full scope of operations in running and maintaining facilities systems with a focus on mechanical systems (working knowledge of boilers, chillers, exhaust and HVAC equipment a must) and to work across various facilities disciplines. The successful candidate will be required to work a compressed work week night shift schedule.

As a Facilities Mechanical Technician your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems.

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating and cooling systems.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and perform required preventative maintenance duties.

  • Assignments are semi-routine in nature with work performed within generally defined parameters.

  • Some degree of judgment required in resolving non-standard problems.

  • Cross train in facilities operations and maintenance activities while providing excellent customer service

  • The successful candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits: Willingness to be a role model safety as a value and adhere to stringent environmental compliance culture.

  • Written and verbal communication skills required. Organization and time management skills.

  • Willingness to excel as an individual contributor and part of a team and work effectively across multiple facilities operations disciplines.

These positions are for a compressed workweek role that works alternating three and four day work weeks:

  • Day shifts:

  • Shift 5 works front half of the week (Sunday-Tuesday) and alternates Wednesdays.

  • Shift 7 works back half of the week (Thurs-Saturday) and alternates Wednesdays

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum skills and experience that will get you noticed:

1+ years of experience with industrial/commercial mechanical systems operations and/or vibration analysis.

And the candidate must have at least one of the following:

  • Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree in Mechanical, Engineering Technology, HVAC Technology, or related field. OR

  • Military service with 1+ year of experience in maintenance, HVAC, facilities. OR

  • 5+ years of work experience in maintenance, HVAC, facilities will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Maximo and CDOCs, ILM QEF portal

  • Working knowledge of Pumps, Compressors, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers, Dryers, Fans, Motors, Filters, Boiler, Strainers, Heat Exchangers and Coils.

  • Experience in facilities operations or maintenance, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating, and cooling systems.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $63,170.00-$91,840.00 (Hourly Role)

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
