JOB SUMMARY
Provides customer service and office/program support. Serves as the initial contact for customers, both in person and over-the-phone, for Division related information.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year of closely related experience directly related to these duties.
Preference will be given to applicants who are bilingual in English and Spanish.
It is mandatory all new hires receive the Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria & Pertussis) vaccine before beginning employment or provide a copy of their immunizations card prior to starting. The immunizations card must show the vaccine name and date received (Health Department only).
Upon hire, a two-step Tuberculosis skin test will be required. The first will need to be placed prior to starting employment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Answers phone calls and greet visitors; relays calls and messages to appropriate person.
Performs customer service functions; provides assistance regarding department/division services and activities.
Processes and issues monetary vouchers, certificates, and/or permits according to policy and procedures.
Researches problems and initiates resolutions utilizing existing policies and procedures.
Schedules functions, including client registration and client appointment reminders.
Distributes public health information forms and other program documents.
Analyzes and maintains program reports, logs and lists.
Types and proofreads documents and make appropriate corrections.
Processes, sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
Maintains office equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to work in various environments with uncomfortable conditions, i.e. hot, cold, aromatic, or dirty.
Must have the ability to stand, bend, sit for extended periods of time, or perform repetitive motor tasks.
May need to lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to have transportation available to travel to events.
May be required to be respiratory fit tested.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THIS POSITION
This position may include a modified work schedule (i.e., flex, amended, weekends, 24/7, or on call).
This recruitment will be used to fill two positions, an outreach office specialist and immunization office specialist.
This position is currently under review and may require a background check in the near future.
