You a r e :

Concentric , part of Accenture Song, is seeking a Senior Copy Editor who will be is responsible for editing and proofreading copy to the highest standards for various audiences and formats, including print and digital materials, and is the “expert” on their brand(s) as well as on agency process. You will serve as a point of contact for your brand teams to discuss workflow, generally lead brand(s), and be sure to follow Concentric policies, processes, and procedures to ensure that the team’s output is of the highest quality.

The work :

  • Assist in reviewing editorial work of more junior members of the team

  • Edit and proofread internal and external pieces for sense, organization, grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, flow, style, formatting, and clarity

  • Fact-check references for all materials, ensuring that content is accurate and that all claims are supported

  • Bring all materials into alignment with client-specific style guidelines and/or American Medical Association (AMA)

  • Ensure promotional copy complies with FDA regulations

  • Attend start-up, hot sheet, and status meetings for assigned brand(s)

  • Help create/maintain style guides for each assigned client/ brand

  • Manage time effectively to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all materials

  • Complete weekly timesheets by 9 am Monday deadline

  • Other editorial duties as needed

    Here’s what you’ll need :

  • 5+ years of experience in medical editing for a pharma agency or pharma company.

  • 2+ year of expwith FDA, PhRMA, and other rules and guidelines governing pharmaceutical marketing

    Bonus points if:   

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat, including marking up PDFs electronically

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience 

  • Excellent spelling and grammar

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Comfort with medical/scientific terminology and pace of pharma agency workflow

  • Experience with (or ability to learn) electronic routing system

  • Strong knowledge of AMA Manual of Style 11 th Edition

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below.We accept applications on an on-going basis and there is no fixed deadline to apply.

California $63,200 to $134,300

Colorado $63,200 to $116,000

New York $58,500 to $134,300

Washington $67,300 to $123,500
