Aerotek is hiring MIG/Flux Core Welders in the Ruther Glen, VA area!

Description:

Candidates will be working in pre-fabrication shop to weld together frames for modular units.

• MIG welding and fluxcore welding on steel (no aluminum or stainless)

-Read and interpret blueprints

-All welding is either flat or horizontal welding, some vertical occasionally

-Candidates need to be able to control AMP and tolerances to produce clean, strong welds

• Will be responsible for cutting materials, reading tape measure and using grinder to finish welds

Skills:

MiG, flux core, Blueprint, Fit

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must have strong mechanical aptitude, math and measuring skills. Reading ruler to 1/16 of an inch and understand hand/power tools and diagrams

Lifting 50+lbs repeatedly

Own basic hand tools and know how to properly use them

Able to read blueprints, wire diagrams and written instructions

Weld test - Basic fillet weld test on a 3/8" plate

Work Environment

Fast paced, repetitive and construction related pre-fabrication shop

MUST wear steal toe boots and safety glasses

Long pants and t-shirt, steel toe boots

4pm-2am Second shift

Monday - Friday (some weekends as requested and given prior notice)

30 minute lunch

Pay: $18-26/hr.
