Job Overview:

The Quality Engineer with 1-3 years of experience will be responsible for supporting the quality assurance team in ensuring that products manufactured by the company meet customer specifications and industry standards. They will work closely with the manufacturing team to identify and resolve quality issues, implement process improvements, and develop and maintain quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts activities to modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.• Evaluate technical data and work instructions in support of Engineering and Operations.• Identifies and manages risk utilizing and driving UPPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, Process Flow, and Control Plans, to identify risk in product development and propose risk management solutions.• Conducts investigations, provides analysis, and develops recommendations for corrective actions for non-conformities.• Reviews process control documentation to ensure they comply with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts.• Analyzes quality activities to identify systemic issues and enable the development of specific quality initiative improvements and strategies• Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drive their implementation.• Performs Escape Management procedures, and root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for internally produced products & processes.• Promote the Quality culture in the business, through compliance with the QMS and adherence to Quality Cardinal Rules

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, or Aerospace; or in place of degree 3-5 years of relevant industry experience• Self-starter who takes initiative, supports strategic priorities, takes ownership of assigned projects/initiatives, contributes to results, and is committed to meeting tight deadlines• Ability to lead product or process non-conformance investigations (i.e. 8-D, DIVEs)• Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)• Knowledge of UPPAP core elements (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, and Control Plans)• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical engineering drawings• Data Analysis with strong Excel skills, and general ability to use Microsoft Office• Ability to work across and communicate with all levels of the organization
