Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as an IT Help Desk Intern. This position will be in Rolla, MO.

Summary:

• Provide IT support to employees in response to requests and create documentation. Participate in planning, design, documentation, and assembly of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Responsibilities:
• Under general supervision, answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, trouble tickets, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies
• Documenting and reporting issues presented to the Help Desk; accountability for reported Level One issues, and responsibility for escalation of Level Two issues
• Documenting procedures for setup, installation, maintenance and repair of systems under the control of the IT Division
• Conduct hardware and software inventory database setups, installations, upgrades, maintenance and reporting.
• Setup and installation of computers and other electronic equipment.
• Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner; provide one-on-one end-user training as needed.
• Assist in inventory management for IT related devices, organization of the Help Desk and IT storage areas, and electronic recycling.
• Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different request; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
• Willingness to accept other duties as assigned

Education and Credentials:

• Must be a current student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science and Technology or relevant major.
