Job Summary : Provides day-to-day technical and administrative support for Inbound International shipments and activities.

What You will Do:

  • Tracking and reporting on activities, costs, and expenditures for all Inbound International shipments.

  • Verifying documents and checklists are accurate and complete.

  • Notifying departments of shipping or receiving schedules and of any logistics problems.

  • Maintaining records of all shipments and invoices using an established system.

  • Destination Customs Clearance & Delivery

What You Have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in any filed is preferred

  2. Knowledge of issues, procedures, tools, and practices of importing and exporting; ability to import and export goods to and from international locations.

  • Customs Regulations – understanding import/export laws, duties, and regulations requirement.

  • Familiarity with various shipping documents such as invoice, packing list, bill of leading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.

  • Transportation modes – understanding different modes of transportation, including ocean freight, air freight, ground transportation and rail freight and their respective advantages, cost, and limitations.

  • Free Trade Area - Awareness of regional and bilateral trade agreements such as ASEAN Free trade area,ASEAN – CHINA, THAI – CHINA and their implications for import/export activities.Knowledge of Incoterms, BOI, and BOI Material Releasing Process.

  • Problem Solving Abilities- capacity to identify and resolve issues related to customs clearance, shipping delays, and other challenges that may arise during import process.

  1. Knowledge of transportation; ability to transport materials and goods to and from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and customers.
  • Participates in arranging transportation of goods.

  • Ensures on time shipments; anticipates and resolves shipping problems.

  • Familiarity with freight forwarding services, including distribution centers, coordinating shipments, and managing documentation for international transportations.

  • Ability to optimize shipping route to minimize transit times, transportation costs, and environmental impact while efficiency and reliability.

  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with transportation, such as damages, delays, and regulatory compliance issue, to ensure the integrity and security of cargo.

  1. Logistics Management: Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials and supplies.
  • Documents internal and external informative sources or propritary materials about logistics management.

  • Describes basic logistical processes and sub-processes.

  • Explains how improvements in logistics contribute to competitive advantage in the marketplace.

  • Identifies issues and considerations for inbound and outbound logistics.
