ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrative only and may vary by assignment)\ Lead Program Instructor manages other instructors, customers & volunteers in a variety of conditions and\ for extended periods. Provides supervision to 1-3 other division workers on a regular basis. Provides\ training to entry-level staff. Extensive experience in multiple relevant outdoor disciplines such as climbing,\ whitewater, Nordic ski, endurance events and resource management and 3-5 years of experience leading\ programs is required. Highest levels of certification required, including Swift Water Rescue, Wilderness\ First Responder, American Mountain Guide Association or Professional Ski Instructors of America - Nordic.\ Nothing in this job description restricts management\'s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities\ to this position at any time.\ ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS\ High school diploma or GED;\ Basic First Aid certification may be required;\ Wilderness First Responder certification may be required;\ CPR certification may be required;\ Swift Water Rescue, American Mountain Guide Association or Professional Ski Instructors of America\ Nordic certification may be required;\ Idaho Drivers license is required.\ An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and\ abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.\ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\ While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop,\ kneel, bend, climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to\ handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires operation of job-related\ equipment and driving a vehicle.
