Software Engineers (New York, NY)- Design and develop online trading software application using ION Marketview, Sysadmin, Perfmeter, ITRS Geneos; Provide software technical support in executing the trades using Shell Scripting, Python Scripting, PL/SQL, Oracle 10g; Develop and enhance the ION trading platform; Review trading platform performance software in relation to internal developed and external designed software systems; Perform bug fixes and resolve STP (straight thru processing) software issues; Monitor breaks in Tradeflows and troubleshoot electronic trades failures; Develop new FIX post-trade gateways, ION implementation projects, and manual testing using Fix Protocol/gateways; Provide third line function technical support for ION Trading and products, market gateways, and back office reporting components. Must have a Master’s Degree or its equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years experience inclusive of the 2 years experience in job offered or as ION Developer or Consultant in IT industry) in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Electronics Engineering plus 2 years experience in job offered or as ION Developer or Consultant in IT industry. Require skills and knowledge in ION Marketview, ITRS Geneos, Fix Protocol/gateways, Shell/Python Scripting, PL/SQL, Oracle 10g. Require 100% travel to unanticipated client locations in US.
