**[Job Summary

[Langan is seeking a Human Health Risk Assessor to join its collaborative team. This individual will serve a key function in expanding the technical expertise of the risk assessment team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide firm-wide human health risk assessment expertise, develop technical approaches, interact with regulatory agencies, and partner cross-functionally with top industry leaders.

  • Perform data evaluation, exposure and toxicity assessment, and risk characterization for sites governed under state programs and USEPA, RCRA and CERCLA programs;
  • Write technical reports summarizing risk assessment procedures and results;
  • Collaborate with various groups within the company to direct and develop report deliverables;
  • Perform statistical evaluations, including derivation of EPCs, BTVs, hypothesis and outlier testing;
  • Perform fate and transport modeling;
  • Advocate technical positions on behalf of the client;
  • Review and interpret toxicity information, regulatory guidance documents, and associated regulations; and
  • Perform other duties as requested.

[Qualifications ]{arial",sans-serif"=""}

  • Bachelors degree in public health, toxicology, chemistry or other related scientific field;
  • 8+ years of professional experience within an environmental consulting firm;
  • Experience working with RWQCB, DTSC and USEPA a plus;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and statistical programs such as ProUCL;
  • Ability to prioritize and work within tight schedules;
  • High initiative, superior interpersonal skills, and ability to work autonomously and to multitask;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment; and
  • Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid drivers license in good standing.
