Job Summary and Qualifications

The HCA Healthcare ITG Manager, PMCoE, is a working-manager position, responsible for projects of all sizes with the highest visibility and portfolios of several million dollars. The Manager also has resource management duties for a team of project management professionals responsible for a set of interrelated projects and/or programs. The Manager practices servant leadership, considers the needs of the team over his/her own, has an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong executive presence, and understands the broader organizational context.
The Manager collaborates with others to tailor methodology to suit program needs, ensures accountability in delivery of project/program commitments and helps resolve any risks or issues that impact project/program progress.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Relationship Management
Proven ability to develop strong stakeholder partnerships, from line level to executive suite, in order to build trust and drive consensus among parties.

Operational and Resource Management
As a working-manager, PMCoE Managers are responsible for all aspects of diverse projects and/or programs of all sizes with the highest visibility, complexity, and importance to the organization. Managers lead a variety of different types of projects including launching new products and services, large-scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments.
Anticipates complex cross functional issues and facilitates resolution, escalates issues to executives with the proper balance of urgency and calm/composure; Negotiates to consensus the most complex issues with executive level stakeholders.
Conducts comprehensive status reviews of programs and related projects and their interdependencies. Communicates appropriate outcomes with stakeholders and senior leaders to provide timely and accurate information and status updates, along with issue and risk management within individual projects and across a program.
Guides development of program structure that connects projects to broader organization goals and ensures reporting of the overarching program view.
Ensures staffing to oversee projects and programs from initiation, to development of the defined results, and through deployment of the product.
Cultivates a motivating environment that brings out the best in people and improves performance of others.
Collaborates with other PMCoE managers in the recruitment and interview process, ensuring high quality candidates are selected for open positions.
Collaborates with employees to define individual career development plans and encourages employee to track progress against development plan.
Coach and guide, ensuring assignments provide growth opportunities for employees.
Conduct performance evaluations, providing positive feedback and identification of any improvement areas.
Ensures regular communication occurs with employee, maintaining two-way dialogue on work and results; is a clear communicator.
What qualifications you will need:
RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
5 or years of Project Management experience - Required
5 or years of Microsoft Office product experience - Required
5 or more years of Healthcare experience- Preferred
5 or years of Information Technology experience - Preferred
MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
5 or more years of project management experience, including 4 or more years of managing large (5,000+ hours), complex projects - Preferred.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred
Other as Noted: 10 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
OTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification – Preferred
Agile and/or Scrum Certification - Preferred.
