We are seeking Mechanics for our Nanticoke, PA location.

SCHEDULE:

1st Shift (5am-3pm) or 2nd Shift (2pm -12am)

OVERVIEW

Mechanics perform routine and complex maintenance and repair services, and troubleshoots a wide variety of different types of fleet vehicles under DOT and company regulations. In this role, the person will also perform preventive fleet maintenance and diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic systems to identify root causes of fluctuating failures/conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES To perform the mechanic job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

• Mechanic works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Mechanic performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Mechanic performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment. ·
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts.
• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
• Completes required paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Vehicle Conditioning Reports.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

REQUIRED

• Must be at least 18 years of age. (Students enrolled in technical trade school are encourage to apply)
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others
• Must be able to work in a dusty, greasy environment, with moderate noise and cold and hot temperatu e ranges
• Must be able to follow all required work safe practices
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools (Students/Apprenticeships will be given a $1000 Tool Box provided by company)

PREFERRED

• A CDL A/B a plus
• State Inspection Certification a plus
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience with AC and Electrical
• Work flexible hours including overtime and weekends, when necessary
