Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist who will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable function, including collections and cash applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage customer relationships. This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and maximizing cash flow for the company.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing customers, posting payments, and reconciling accounts.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with customers to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.

• Conduct collections activities, including sending reminder notices, making collection calls, and negotiating payment plans with delinquent customers.

• Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes and address customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Apply cash receipts accurately and efficiently to customer accounts in the accounting system.

• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

• Prepare and distribute accounts receivable reports to management on a regular basis, highlighting aging trends and collection efforts.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts receivable.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collections activities and communications with customers.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline accounts receivable processes.

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role, including experience with collections and cash applications.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices related to accounts receivable.

• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
