Position Summary The Field Communications Intern provides internal communications support by developing communications to STERIS Healthcare employees across North America. The Field Communications Intern can expect to gain an understanding of and experience in internal communications, including leveraging print and newsletters, email, digital screens, video and additional channels to drive employee alignment and engagement in business goals. Key Program Information: Summer internship program goes from May 20th - August 9th - potential for extension into the school year Hybrid work environment - will be a blended in-office and remote work position Office location: Mentor, OH Duties Provides support to Field Communications to develop content for print and digital employee newsletters, as well as supporting the design and distribution of the newsletters Drafts email communications on a wide range of topics impacting the field Supports the development and distribution of video communications to sales and service team members Researches internal communications best practices and provides reports on opportunities for STERIS to improve the field communications program Assists in recording performance metrics for internal communications Required Experience Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or related field - must have completed sophomore year requirements by May 2024 Familiarity with MSOffice applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented Must be able to provide writing samples STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.
