Anticipated initial assignment is Orleans and/or Niagara Counties, NY. The individual will provide Individualized Education Program (IEP) mandated counseling to students enrolled in BOCES programs. The individual will implement students' IEPs, provide crisis counseling and work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure student success. The individual must have the ability to collaboratively work with colleagues, maintain accurate records and have a strong knowledge of outside resources available to support students. The individual must have knowledge of behavior modification techniques and have strong interpersonal skills. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and de-escalation training, and an understanding of trauma and how it manifests in children and adolescents, are desirable. An understanding of the differences in developmental needs and externalizations for students is preferred. Appropriate certification preferred. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change.

Salary shall depend on qualifications and experience. For a candidate without permanent or professional teaching certification, the estimated (ten-month basis) annual salary range is $41,500 to $74,000. For a candidate with permanent or professional teaching certification, the estimated (ten-month basis) annual salary range is $46,500 to $94,205.
