Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Jumeau River Development Company Limited. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Sales Strategy Development: You’ll create and implement sales strategies targeting specific markets such as corporate, leisure, or group. Your goal is to increase occupancy and generate revenue.

  • Market Analysis: Analyzing market trends helps you understand customer needs. By identifying new business opportunities, you can tailor your approach effectively.

  • Relationship Building: You’ll build and maintain relationships with potential clients, including corporate clients, event planners, and travel agencies.

  • Collaboration: Working closely with other departments (such as marketing and operations) ensures a cohesive approach to sales and service.

  • Sales Reporting: Creating and maintaining sales reports helps track performance and progress toward goals.

  • Industry Awareness: Attending conferences and events keeps you informed about the latest trends and strategies.

  • Pricing Strategy and Contract Negotiation: Managing the hotel’s pricing strategy and negotiating contracts with clients are crucial for profitability.

  • Exceptional Customer Service: Providing outstanding service to clients and addressing their needs promptly is essential.

  • Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the hotel, increase occupancy, and boost revenue.

  • Advertising Campaigns: Create and execute advertising campaigns to raise awareness and drive business.

  • Online Presence: Maintain and update the hotel’s website and social media profiles to effectively represent the brand.

  • Partnerships: Build partnerships with other businesses and organizations to promote the hotel.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-3 years Hotel Director of Sales experience

  • 4+ years proven sales record

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization

  • Proven ability to drive the sales process

  • Excellent listening,

  • Strong leader of people

  • Strategic thinker

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
