Description As an Employee Benefits Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting one of our top agents who manages a diverse book of business comprising both small and large group clients. This role is integral to the continued success of our agency, and we are looking for a candidate with experience in large group marketing, strong bilingual skills, and a deep understanding of employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the primary point of contact for the agent's clients, providing exceptional service and building strong client relationships.

Maintain a portfolio of 63 clients and 231 policies, managing renewals, policy changes, and client inquiries.

Assist clients with benefit plan design, enrollment, claims resolution, and other employee benefits-related issues.

Collaborate with the agent to develop and execute strategic plans for client retention and growth.

Conduct regular client meetings to review insurance coverage and identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional policies.

Provide expert guidance on compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Oversee the marketing process for large group clients, including preparing RFPs, negotiating with carriers, and presenting proposals to clients.

Stay current with industry trends, insurance products, and market conditions to provide informed recommendations to clients.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in employee benefits account management, with a focus on both small and large group clients.

Proficiency in English and Spanish (both spoken and written) is required to effectively communicate with clients, including interpretation services.

Strong knowledge of employee benefits, health insurance, and related regulations.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage a diverse client portfolio.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet and exceed client expectations.

Prior experience in marketing large group employee benefits is a strong asset.

Knowledge of the Greater Los Angeles Area and local market conditions is preferred.

College degree; 5+ years related insurance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient with Outlook and Word computer programs. Must participate in seminars/classes for knowledge, skill development and continuing education as required by the Department of Insurance.
