OPPORTUNITY
As a purpose-driven technology company, our client prioritizes sustainability in their everyday business operations and real estate portfolio. They have set a clear goal to decarbonize their entire real estate portfolio by electrifying all building systems that currently operate on fossil fuels.
The purpose of this position is to provide decarbonization program management services for a regional portfolio of commercial real estate projects. It requires an understanding of building mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to productively engage in cross-functional building electrification discussions with stakeholders. The role requires the individual to manage client and vendor relationships, maintain program-level data sets for in-flight and pipeline projects, and drive consistent coordination between projects aligned with our shared business objectives.
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Sustainability Program Manager to manage multiple concurrent
work streams and assist in implementing and improving a strategy to help the client
achieve the ambitious goals. This includes working with international project teams and
Clients, understanding the existing real estate portfolio and future strategy in detail and
creating and proposing a Sustainability/Electrification strategy to the Client, in line with
their Priorities. It also includes supporting the Client in securing budgets and fundings
to ensure continuous progress towards the Client’s goal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead regional cross functional Regional Program using formal end to end PMO Process and oversee projects delivery in EMEA region. Facilitates the development of a charter and integrated timeline.
Ensures all functions remain on schedule and issues get resolved or escalated.
Facilitates regular meetings to review project status for active and pending projects (project pipeline). Collaborates with the core team to develop solutions and leads the project team through implementation and completion.
Responsible for reporting progress and financial status of individuals and groups of projects and programs.
Provides appropriate levels of detail, and summarizes complex issues succinctly.
Manages internal and external relationships in support of the program. May contract and manage vendors. May provide consultation on complex low to medium scale projects that integrate into an organized program.
Creates, maintains & distributes routine PMO reports, including status reports and updated Gantt charts. Create impactful presentations to the Client and on-account colleagues.
May manage/oversee a team who are responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of projects and programs. Serves as the primary client contact and escalation point for any staffing, bandwidth or delivery issues.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. Will support project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from a university program. Typically at least 10 years of industry experience and at least 7 years in ESD (Environmental and Sustainability Design) or MEP consulting.
Experience with engineering or construction of commercial building mechanical and electrical systems design and installation, ranging from new building and office fit out projects. Data center design experience is not required.
Experience in delivering Electrification projects, multi year MEP upgrade program, project internationally and supporting commercial lease agreement negotiation owners/occupier is a plus.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
- PgMP (Program Management Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Fluent in English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
Strong communication skills
Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees,
clients, top management and/or public groups.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex project documents.
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.
Ability to write reports using distinctive style.
ORGANISATION
- Strong organizational and analytical skills and able to work under pressure, with large volumes. Work with large datasets and ability to quickly report key insights for reporting purposes.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
- Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to forecast project spending, pull together budget estimates, financial status reports and support large funding requests is necessary. Conducts advanced financial analysis is a plus.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
COLLABORATION
Must be a team player and work collaboratively and positively with colleagues, often stationed internationally
Proven ability to work effectively both independently, and in a team based environment, including in a remote set up.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Preferred skills with Google software (G suite), if not with Microsoft Office Suite.
Extensive knowledge and experience in Sustainable buildings and technologies.
Broad understanding of MEP implications on Sustainability of buildings.
Strong process skills, negotiating, decision-making and analytical skills are necessary
