Job description

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Critical Environment lead to join the team located in our client site in Limerick but will also support other critical environment locations if required. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of critical / essential mechanical and electrical equipment within the building and Data Centre’s, ensuring no loss time incidents or impact to business continuity.

Summary Description

Drives the planning, design, implementation, organization, and day-to-day operation of the site Data Centre’s in line with both CBRE and client global operational standards. Analyses the needs of relative departments and establishes priorities for infrastructure design, Data Center expansion, and implementation to develop new and/or modify the company’s critical facilities, mechanical and electrical systems and day-to-day operations. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the assets deemed critical to business uptime.

Note: Roles can have an internal or external client focus. Can involve company-hosted, web-enabled solutions or can include project-based jobs in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions. Critical environment processes exist to operate and maintain the critical infrastructure supporting IT operations within the data center space. These processes will be deployed with initial and periodic training to ensure understanding and repeatable results.

  • Expertise in technical disciplines such as: Electrical Systems, Mechanical Systems, Building Maintenance/ Automation.

  • Can assist in the design and build out of new facilities

  • Responsible for Facilities related Asset and Inventory management.

  • Can develop training curriculum for customers or junior team members.

  • Reports to and interacts with management regarding the status of projects.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and relevant experience

  • Electrically Qualified

  • Typically requires 4-7 years of relevant technical work experience

  • CDCDP / CDCTP Data Centre professional or similar certification beneficial
