We are looking for a Sr. Fleet Operations Manager who is responsible for the safety, compliance, availability, and cost of the Fleet in their respective sub-region of Germany. A candidate will need to execute the strategy of the team and leverage best practices. This person will play a central role within the larger fleet organization.

Key functions for the role include:

(1) Evaluate health and safety of fleet. They will ensure vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with local regulations by performing audits, providing feedback and trends to leadership.

(2) Support product and programs launches in their sub-region of Germany. To be successful in this role, the Sr. Fleet Operations Manager is required to have strong operational knowledge, and understand the conditions of local markets.

(3) Tactically collaborate with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, in order to solve operational needs. The Sr. Fleet Operations Manager is responsible for executing a program with ambiguous deliverables and align stakeholders to achieve daily business needs. They will be required to demonstrate the ability to negotiate and influence, showing backbone while dealing with internal and external stakeholders.

(4) Manage availability of vehicles in their sub-region of Germany. This will require technical expertise to balance tradeoffs between cost, quality, and speed, and escalating to leadership when needed.

Basic Qualifications

(1) Bachelor’s degree

(2) Experience influencing and interacting with cross-functional teams successfully

(3) Proven logistics or operations experience

(4) A history of developing strong, value-added relationships, earning trust with multiple stakeholder groups both internal and external

(5) Ability to effectively work with a variety of organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities

(6) Ability to handle execution of multiple priorities simultaneously

(7) Excellent communications skills and a high bar for accuracy and detail

(8) Can work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

(9) Professional proficiency in English and German (preferable)

(10) Preferred location is Western Germany with flexibility for other regions

(11) Ability to travel across Germany 20-30% of time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree or MBA preferred

  • Fleet Management experience

  • Background in mobility services e.g. Car Lease/ Automotive company
