The Role

As a Systems Programmer at Kyndryl, you'll have the opportunity to shape the very foundation of the technology that drives our world. Your work will involve developing, testing, and maintaining the software that controls a computer's operating system, hardware, and other systems software. You'll be a master troubleshooter and problem-solver, with the skills to fix even the most complex issues that arise.

Not only will you be responsible for ensuring the security of our computer systems, but you'll also work closely with other IT professionals to design and implement cutting-edge technology that keeps Kyndryl ahead of the curve.

In this role, you'll provide the underlying Mainframe operating system platform programming and DBDC subsystem programming support that forms the backbone of our applications. You'll guide functional objectives on technologies and make use of your expert knowledge to drive solutions to complex problems.

As a leader in this field, you'll also be expected to conduct RCA discussions for the products you work on and provide ongoing technical and operational guidance to lead professional work teams. You may even manage departments on a national or international level, defining objectives and managing resources to ensure the success of your projects.

Currently, we are looking for z/OS System Programmer . As the Operations Production Analyst, you will be responsible for software upgrades and customization of various supported applications. You will have the possibility to directly impact the software evolution together with the customer and to analyze and optimize z/Os and the associated software. Work can be done remotely from any place in Poland.

Responsibilities :

• Update & customize the following tools: IMS, BMC (Mainview), OEM: CA (including RCmigrator, RCcompare, RCquery. RCupdate) and TIBCO

• Negotiate go-live software evolutions with clients

• Analyze and optimize software performance

• Solve issues related to the software

• Work towards incident prevention

• Performance analysis, optimization z/OS or associated software

• Offer applications support

• Perform and document the implementation of new software or upgrade of the functionality of existing software

Who You Are

You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important – you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. Required Professional and Technical Expertise :

• At least 10 years of experience with z/OS Mainframe

• Good command of Assembler language, minimum required z/Architecture instruction level: z14

• Analysis of unformatted dumps with IPCS (SVC dump, SYSMDUMP) andformatted dumps (SYSUDUMP, SYSABEND)

• Documented experience working with IMS, BMC (Mainview) & CA applications: IMS for z/OS, IMS for z/OS Utility suite, IBM IMS Administration Tools, IBM IMS DB/DC Tools, BMC DB/DC Tools

• Knowledge of SMP/E and proven experience of mainframe software upgrades,and installing & tuning monitoring tools, eg. Omegamon

• Providing support with various backup/recovery scenarios

• Candidate should be self-organized, eager to learn with a strong sense of analysis & troubleshooting skills person plus with good English skills

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise :

• Knowledge related to DB2 is a huge advantage

• Experience with Compuware toolsets for managing DB2on

• Experience in support and deployment with DB2 z/OS database

• Working knowledge of DB2 data sharing groups

• Familiarity with z/OS, JES2, TSO ISPF, DFSMS, IPCS, EREP, RACF, WLM

• Familiarity with Office products e.g. Word Excel, Powerpoint

• Expert knowledge of SMP/E; IPCS and EREP; JCL, ISPF skels and macros, CLIST and REXX
