Job Title: Analyzer Technician

Location: Northwest Houston (Jersey Village are)

Salary: Starts at $20/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Opportunities: Overtime available during the week or on Saturdays

Job Description: As an Analyzer Technician, you will play a crucial role in the testing and evaluation of analyzer applications. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting system issues, testing hardware, understanding GC applications, and utilizing chromatography software. Additionally, you will be responsible for testing analyzers in environmental chambers, modifying test fixtures, and ensuring accurate documentation for customer print packages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct manufacturing testing of Process and Natural Gas GC’s.

• Troubleshoot system issues of both electrical and analytical nature.

• Test hardware, understand GC applications, and utilize chromatography software.

• Evaluate analyzer applications by reviewing specifications for accuracy.

• Blend gases, repair electronic and mechanical problems, and program and test controllers.

• Install analyzers in environmental chambers and run computer programs to test them.

• Ensure accurate documentation for customer print packages.

• Notify of changes to specifications and provide input to shipping schedules.

• Log problems and failures and report to Quality.

Requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required.

• Experience in Process GC manufacturing testing.

• Strong analytical, electronics, and mechanical background.

• Background in chemistry related to analytical applications.

• Technical degree and/or 3-5 years of experience in testing Process Gas GC applications.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work in environments exposed to fumes, gases, and chemicals.

• Must have steel toe shoes; all other PPE provided by the company.
