O’Neal Steel is currently seeking a Regional Sales Director for our Grand Prairie, TX facility.

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for the commercial growth of an assigned large territory or group of territories within any given Region. May manage multiple inside or outside sales teams and is a senior leader within a Regional Management Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct a team of Outside and Inside sales professionals for a designated regional area

  • Sets short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluates effectiveness of current sales programs for multiple teams and/or territories

  • Increases the capabilities of inside and outside sales people through mentoring, coaching and training

  • Lead or assist in market research and analysis to identify prospective accounts within a particular industry segment

  • Develop and maintain productive business relationships with internal partners such as Operations, Supply Chain Management, Corporate Processing, Product Development, etc.

  • Create and present formal new business presentations to prospective, new and existing customers

  • Lead the preparation, organization and lead the planned business review meetings with customers

  • Lead or participate in negotiating price revisions and price agreements with customers

  • Develop sales data used to plan, budget and forecast for the division

  • Lead or participate in developing business case pro-forma for target markets or industries

  • Initiate and / or conduct profitability reviews for customers, markets and industries

  • Communicate to the organization significant developments with customers, markets or industries

  • Comprehensive understanding of the principles used in the pricing strategies

  • Communicate frequently with customers regarding the status of proposals

  • Prepare budgetary proposals if needed

  • Engage effectively in technical discussion with internal associates or our client personnel

  • Thorough understanding of the financial performance of the company

The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:

  • 5+ years of extensive sales management experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of Metal Industry experience

  • A deep understanding of commercial markets and an expertise in developing and executing sales strategies

  • Strong financial acumen
