An exciting opportunity has become available to join Boeing Poland as a Full Stack Software Developer - Boeing Defense & Space (Experienced, Senior or Lead) based in Gdansk, Poland for the Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) organization.

Our team are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced, Senior and Lead Full Stack Software Developer.

Position overview:

We are a product led analytics group within BDS transforming the way business is run using artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI&ML) . We are a dynamic team of data scientists, data engineers, and software developers solving many challenges and puzzles of our rapidly evolving technical stack.

We’re seeking a full stack developer who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking group that’s always pushing boundaries. This person will have complete, end-to-end responsibilities of AI&ML-derived products and features. The ideal candidate has experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages. The full stack developer will join a small team that uses new technologies, tools, and capabilities to solve challenges for both the front-end and back-end architecture, ultimately delivering great products for our users.

As a Full Stack Developer, the job holder will join the BDS Analytics Poland Team consisting of highly skilled, high performing team members supporting multiple product lines across Boeing.

Position Responsibilities:

• Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.

• Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth.

• Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.

• Assume leadership of new projects, from conceptualization to deployment

• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design.

• Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale.

• Engage with designers and front-end engineers and collaborate with leading back-end engineers to create reliable APIs.

• Collaborate across time zones via Teams, Mattermost, GitHub, documents, and frequent videoconferences.

• Influencing, innovating, and continuously improving the software engineering process as well as quality, safety and reliability of products and services provided by Boeing.

• Collaborating proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations.

• Cultivating a positive team culture, team motivation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent in computer science or related field.

• 5+ years of professional experience.

• English language level – intermediate or higher.

• Existing rights to work in Poland.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experienced (Level 3)

• Willingness to learn and work with new technologies.

• 3+ experience in building large-scale web applications using React, Angular or Vue.

• Demonstrated design and system thinking skills.

• 5+ years’ experience in at least one programming language like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Node.js and Go, Open-Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and tools such as Github (AWS tools and services is a plus).

• 3+ years’ experience in unit/integration testing.

• 3+ years’ experience in developing web services (REST, SOAP, etc.).

• 3+ years’ experience in containerization (Docker, OCI).

• Collaborating in international and multi-national projects.

Senior (Level 4)

• 7+ years of professional experience.

• 5+ experience in building large-scale web applications using React, Angular or Vue.

• Demonstrated design and system thinking skills.

• 7+ years’ experience in at least one programming language like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Node.js and Go, Open-Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and tools such as Github (AWS tools and services is a plus).

• 5+ years’ experience in unit/integration testing.

• 5+ years’ experience in developing web services (REST, SOAP, etc.).

• 5+ years’ experience in containerization (Docker, OCI).

• Collaborating in international and multi-national projects.

• 2+ years’ experience leading software development teams.

Lead (Level 5)

• 9+ years of professional experience.

• Willingness to learn and work with new technologies.

• Demonstrated design and system thinking skills.

• 9+ years’ experience in at least one programming language like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Node.js and Go, Open-Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and tools such as GitHub (AWS tools and services is a plus). Frontend React(We use in Boeing) angular Vue, We are not looking for one or more of tech.

• 7+ years’ experience in unit/integration testing.

• 7+ years’ experience in developing web services (REST, SOAP, etc.).

• 7+ years’ experience in containerization (Docker, OCI).

• Collaborating in international and multi-national projects.

• 3+ years’ experience leading software development teams as a team lead.

• Leading a team of 4-5 software developers and data engineers.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation.

Candidates are expected to work from our office in Gdansk for at least 2 days a week.
