Overview

Quality Assurance Specialist (BAMC):

Bowhead seeks a Database Sustainment Specialist to join our team in supporting the Department of Logistics Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) contract in Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain material collection and storage areas. Maintain proper signs and information placards.

  • Collect at a predetermined schedule and adjusts as demands or mission dictates.

  • Assist in the processing of all urgent vendor recalls and Medical Materiel Quality Control (MMQC) messages directed by U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency(USAMMA).

  • Maintain the storage area and all safety equipment that is utilized in the area.

  • Support government staff to research all recalled items by catalog number, description, item ID, and national stock number to ensure that items have been identified.

  • Assist in the inspection of inventory on hand and use the automated system to perform stratification from serviceable to suspend.

  • Review, inspect, and process all turn-ins for recalled items.

  • Coordinate the return, exchange, or destruction as determined by USAMMA or commercial vendor.

  • Notify item manager to prepare shipping documents to decrement on hand balance from accountable records.

  • Assist in receiving and process medical gases both cylinder and bulk.

  • Assist in receiving and reconcile vendor packing slip with shipment contents.

  • Test all oxygen cylinders and bulk gas to ensure that purity level is 99% or greater on a weekly basis. IAW regulatory guidelines and ensures that shipment meets the acceptance levels.

  • Provide assistance to government staff to ensure that medical gases are stored IAW regulations and are separated and posted by type of gas and whether empty or full.

  • Request and replace signs as needed to identify medical gas by type, full or empty.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Two to five or more (2-5) years of experience in developing and documenting production processes and procedures.

  • Experience shall demonstrate the successful implementation of military and commercial quality programs and directives, including managing a multiple document technical library and digital scanning/uploading and user account maintenance and management.

  • Requires strong interpersonal skills and presentation / briefing skills necessary to interact with prospective clients, team members, and senior decision makers.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong sales and negotiation skills.

  • Computer savvy with solid experience using Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds

  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
