Moffatt & Nichol is actively searching for a Part Time Senior Marine Structural Engineer in our Federal Way office to perform project management and lead the design of waterfront structures such as piers, bulkheads, breakwaters, shoreline protection systems, small boat harbors, floating platforms and ferry landings. This position will also work with teams across the company on a variety of structural projects related to marine and transportation infrastructure engineering. Establish standards, design approach and manage the technical analysis of marine structures and foundations using cast-in-place/prestressed concrete, steel, and timber. Provide structural design, perform peer review, and oversee the design of other engineers Assist on Proposals and Business Development opportunities with new and existing clients Monitor and report on project scope and budget Actively participate in the training and development of junior staff Provide quality reviews of drawings and calculations Interact directly with clients This is a management and design role. This individual will be responsible for leading a team as well as completing design work.
