Requirements: * At least eighteen (18) years of age. * Valid driver license with clean driving record (record will be checked by employer). * Pass background check, pre-employment and random drug screening (Checked by employer). * Available to work flexible schedule including evenings, Saturdays, and short notice fill-in shifts. Preferences: * CDL endorsement and experience operating larger vehicle. * Previous public transit experience. Job Duties: * Communicate verbally, in writing, and interpersonally with a diverse population including the elderly and disabled. * Transport elderly, persons with disabilities and general public riders to a variety of locations within the county, as well as areas outside of Wallowa County such as the Northeast Oregon Transportation hub in La Grande. * Transport clients to medical appointments in as needed. * Maintain records on number/type of passengers, miles driven, etc. * Responsible for fueling, routine vehicle checks and keeping the vehicle interiors clean. * Assist passengers. * Assure the safety of persons while they are in the vehicle and entering or leaving the vehicle. * Communicate verbally and in writing with co-workers, and the public. * All other duties as assigned. Wage: * \$15.61-20.47 per hour, plus \$1.00 increase for valid CDL with passenger endorsement. Schedule: * 20 to 29 hours per week. * Days and hours to be arranged by employer. **Open until filled**
