Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver technology & process improvements that bring to application to deliver measurable benefits.

• Working with stakeholders to refine data requirement and roadmaps.

• Drive innovation by testing new technology and approaches to continually advance the capability of the data engineering function.

• Lead and Mentor the team of Data Analysts and Data Engineers.

• To Scope, Design, build, test and implement tactical & strategic solutions.

• Engage with stakeholders and provide insights and recommendations on process/system improvements that will support delivery & data strategy.

• Utilizing SQL to create net new solutions, modify existing content and distribute the data to users and other systems.

• Develop Data Standards and deploys automation tools to obtain and process data from different sources.

• Drive the development, monitoring, review, and evaluation of new metrics, KPIs, key risk indicators, reports & dashboards, utilizing data discovery techniques across complex data sets. Provide direction and design to strategic business

• Building Azure Data services to support development activities (Azure SQL Server, ADF, Databricks) and some on-premises Microsoft SQL Database servers

• Provide recommendations to the development team regarding query optimization

• Team and project leadership as required.

Required Qualifications

• Solid SQL experience, including experience with various Database technologies (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, Teradata etc.)

• Experience in data ETL and blending tools

• Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely in writing and orally to individuals and groups.

• Proficiency with excel

• Hands-on experience developing data pipelines that demonstrate a solid understanding of software engineering principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines on either AWS, Azure or GCP, following best practices in Cloud deployments

• Understanding of system hardening, and threat and vulnerability management

• Data migration projects / Dev-ops / Data-Dev-Ops

• Query Optimization

• Proven track record in delivering technology driven solutions through full project life cycle.
