WTW CRB Senior Finance Business Partner in Dublin, Ireland

Working as a the head of the Business Finance Partner of the Ireland for the Risk and Broking business areas, the Finance Business Partner will support the business leaders in their commercial decision making, managing financial performance and help shape future business strategies. Risk and Broking is a part of the Ireland and Nordics cluster and will report into the head of business finance partner for the cluster.

Using financial knowledge relevant to the business the Finance Business Partner will provide financial analysis and advice to business. Key will be to focus not only on historical information but also on forward looking information.

The Role

Provide financial assistance to the key internal business stakeholders in terms of:

  • Ongoing strategic business projects, including assistance with financial modelling

  • Annual budget preparation

  • Management of month-end process with focus on revenue

  • Preparation and commentary of standard monthly management reports

  • Preparation and review/commentary of actual performance against budget and prior year

  • Review of expense accruals/prepayments, accrued and deferred revenue

  • Monthly forecasting (incl. preparation of future staff cost projections)

Supporting the Financial Reporting and Control team in terms of:

  • Various Month-end reporting including revenue and investments etc.

  • Providing an update in terms of any business-related issues/developments/projects

The Requirements

  • Exceptional commercial acumen – understanding of the key business revenue & Profit & Loss drivers.

  • All-Inclusive financial knowledge – with 5+ years of experience in business finance.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to develop working relationships.

  • Team player – willing to pass on their experience and work closely with the wider finance team.

  • Pro-active – ability to use initiative, self-starting, ability to prioritise and deliver within deadlines.

  • Passionate – to make a difference and to “add value” to the business owning the numbers.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

  • Detail-oriented with ability to prioritise and organise workflow.

  • Highly computer literate with superior skills in Microsoft Excel, and a knowledge of accounting packages e.g., Oracle E-Business Suite, Hyperion, etc.
