About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Guest Services Assistant - Telecommunications to join Burj Al Arab Jumeirah .The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Answers all incoming calls with the respective standard and in friendly manner.

  • Takes proper verbal handover from the preceding Guest Services on duty.

  • Checks e-mails for important messages and HotSOS for the Wake-Up Calls.

  • Checks the DND request and do the required procedure accordingly.

  • Update the notice board with Functions of the day, Guest request like (Incognito, DND – Do Not Disturbed, Telephone Lines Blocking), Prayer Timings, Weather Forecast.

  • Records the suite number of the in-house guest wakeup call request in the Wake-Up Call Sheet and set the alarm clock accordingly.

  • Raising HotSOS for guest requests and follow up.

  • Liaises closely with the Team Leader for requisition and replenishment of the office stationery, cartridges, and other stores supplies.

  • To confidently operate with the E-butler app, systems, and associated computer equipment in accordance with departmental procedures.

  • Good in typing skills as all messages needs to be responded within 90 seconds.

About you:

  • Minimum 1-year previous experience in Hospitality Industry / Front Office.

  • Basic Computer Knowledge - i.e., Internet, MS Outlook.

  • Knowledge of PMS – OPERA cloud, HOTSOS

  • Well versed spoken and written English.

  • Additional Language; Arabic, Russian, Chinese or European Languages would be an advantage.
