In this role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. In this role, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. This could be the ideal position for you, if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

What you get to do every day

• Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

• Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

• Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

• Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

• In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Partake in various department-wide initiatives Requirements - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Efficient in ERP systems

• Great attention to detail

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience

• Sage Intacct experience

• General ledger experience

• Month end closings experience preferred

• Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
