PURPOSE OF POSITION:

GE Healthcare Maintenance Department in conjunction with the business unit operation executes a Preventative Maintenance (PM) programme for equipment on site. This position is key to the planning and execution of the Preventative Maintenance programme.

As the Cork plant expands, the ability of Operational Engineering department to deliver the site PM program needs to be efficient and flexible to achieve the site’s key metrics.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work Planning and Controller with a primary focus on coordination and scheduling of Preventative Maintenance (PM), Corrective Planned Maintenance (CM) and Calibrations in cGMP regulated manufacturing site.

  • Work closely with Engineering Team Leaders and Production Schedulers in creating and execution of schedules.

  • Work with Engineering Stores to ensure all required spare parts are available for PM’s and CM’s.

  • Ensure all work requests are addressed and followed up in a timely manner on the CMMS System. This will involve assigning work directly to technicians.

  • Work with Process Engineering and Sterility Assurance to ensure their Validation program is scheduled and managed to be compliant.

  • Report departmental metrics.

  • Ensure Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Maximo is maintained in a compliant manner, all new equipment is added to the system correctly with correct PM routines, and that obsolete equipment is removed from the system. Support project leaders in delivery of projects,

  • Support Engineering personal in investigations associated with site equipment.

  • Ensure CMMS system users are fully trained and adhering to procedures.

  • Work to identify opportunities to lean PM process.

  • Ensure all corrective maintenance activities are closed out in a compliance manner.

  • Ensure that work order data recording is at a high level to support the reliability program.

  • Work with site Engineers and Quality Engineers to ensure PM program is kept up to date.

  • Support site ESH element program

  • Communications: communicate and update the Maintenance Dept. and other departments as necessary (e.g. compliance issues, investigation outcomes etc).

KEY INTERFACES

  • Developing an effective working relationship with the Maintenance Team Leaders, Calibration Team Leader, Process Engineering, Sterility Assurance, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, EHS, and Finance departments.

PRINCIPAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Engineering Qualification in process, mechanical, or electrical engineering or related discipline is preferred though not essential.

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in planning and control scheduling is essential.

  • At least 3 years’ experience working with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) an advantage.

  • At least 3 years’ experience working with a maintenance team in regulated environment or process industry is essential.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to deal with a variety of people on a wide range of tasks. Proven ability to write technical reports.

  • Must be good record keeper and results analyser.
