One position is available at both Edison & Holmes Elementary.

Provide Speech and Language therapy which supports students’ ability to access their academic curriculum in the least restrictive environment in accordance with the IEP. Documentation responsibilities: daily session notes, progress reports (3-4x yearly), collaboration with a team for IEP development, complete initial evaluations/ reevaluations, detailed report writing, development of goals which support classroom learning. Review evaluation findings, provide updates of student needs and/or progress, and make therapy recommendations at CSE meetings. Special Qualifications: NYS Licensed SLP, ASHA-CCC Experience working with speaking and non-speaking students with diverse diagnoses and behavioral needs. Experience with low and high-tech AAC trials/ device requests, device programming, educational team training/ support, and therapy with both new and experienced AAC users
