Google Senior Systems Development Engineer, VMWare Engine in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience with systems administration, systems development engineering, or similar designations.

  • 5 years of experience with Google Cloud networking technologies/protocols such as IS-IS, VXLAN, BGP, EVPN, and Network Virtualization.

  • 5 years of experience in Network Administration, Network Troubleshooting, MPLS VPN, VMware, Storage, and Virtual Machines.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in VMware network certifications or similar (e.g., VCP-NV/VCIX-NV/VCDX-NV).

  • Knowledge of VPN technologies.

  • Knowledge of Python or Go.

The Google VMware Engine service enables customers running on-premises VMware workloads to seamlessly migrate to Google Cloud without having to re-architect or refactor their applications.

As a Senior Systems Development Engineer, you will assist in launching and supporting the Google VMware Engine service and infrastructure, across 13 regions and thousands of nodes, leveraging both Google native and Google Extension Data Centers.

  • Plan and execute Google Cloud capacity additions, streamline the process working across Cloud teams in Google.

  • Work to resolve network service issues in VMware Engine (NSX-T).

  • Monitor and manage Google cloud networking capacity in partnership with Google Cloud Networking teams.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer networking issues across the Google Cloud interconnects, customer on-premise networks and the data center deployments.

  • Implement new Google Cloud capabilities and changes in partnership with the Development teams.
