To enable the vision and asks from our customers, we are looking for strong software developers to join our mission and build new features and use AI/ML technologies to improve doc writing and reviewing experience.

We are looking for a well-rounded software development engineer with a proven track record of solving challenging technical problems and creating great products for end users. Our expectations from candidates is to help us build new sets of collaborative experiences and services for Enterprise business users.

Key job responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have strong design and coding skills. The candidate will be a catalyst for change by working with the various product managers and principal engineers to code and design flexible and scalable solutions, and work on some of the most complex challenges. As a Software Development Engineer on the Amazon Workdocs Service team, you will:

. Design, develop and support a world-class search platform serving individuals and businesses of all sizes

· Produce code that is robust, efficient and maintainable; our primary languages are Java, Python, React, and C/C+. Work on challenging problems in areas such as data storage, query optimization, JVM performance optimization, security, machine learning and more.

· Continually challenge what exists and explore what should be changed to best meet evolving customer needs

· Possess expert knowledge in large scale distributed system design and engineering best practices

· Participate in setting a vision and objectives for Search Services in alignment with customer needs and market opportunities

· Drive and work on algorithm and architecture design, execute and deliver results

· Invent the future of search and log analytics in the cloud

· Join a great group of motivated, top-notch, people and work with them to solve challenging problems in a fun, collaborative environment

We have built WorkDocs using other AWS Products for storage, workflows, compute, messaging, analytics and more. Our customers use our product through various channels - web, mobile and desktops. Our team is a first-hand user of our own product and this makes us a unique team that is able to walk in the shoes of our customers. Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
